Exceptional Offer

A message from the Healey Drivers Club President Peter Healey:

This year, 2025, will be a special year for the Healey Drivers' Club.

We will celebrate two anniversaries. It will be the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Club, primarily by Bic Healey, in 1955….. The world’s original Healey Club. It will be also the 70th anniversary of the manufacture of the Austin-Healey 100S production cars at the Donald Healey Motor Company in the Cape works in Warwick.

The Club could not let these major milestones pass without marking them in a suitable way. We are therefore delighted to say that we shall record the occasion by producing a pair of grille badges.

The badges have been designed by long time Healey family friend, and Cornish artist Nick Beringer, and with input from the Healey family. Nick is of course very well known to all Club members, not only for the artwork for our annual Christmas card, but also for the various prints which the Club has produced over many years.

These badges will be sold as a pair and will be limited to an anniversary appropriate, seventy sets. Each set (comprising one of each badge) will be individually numbered on the back of the badge. They are manufactured in the UK and to the excellent quality one would expect. Each badge measures 75 mm in diameter and will be supplied in a drawstring velour bag.

The badges will be supplied either to fit to a grille or with an adapter and clip to fit to a badge bar, depending upon your preference.

In the first instance, the badges are being offered exclusively to Healey Drivers’ Club members and to 100S owners at £55.00 per set for the grille fixed badges. This price includes the socket fixing to the back, the studs, nuts and tensioning bar for fixing to the cars grille. For those preferring the badge bar fixing, the additional cost for the two adaptor plates and two fixing clips is £25.00 (i.e. a total of £80.00).

Postage and packing within the UK will be at cost in addition to this. We would prefer not to offer overseas delivery, given the risk of loss or damage, as well as taxes, customs and duties, associated with export and import. If this is an issue for you, let us know, and we will see what solution can be found.

If you have a preference for a particular numbered set (excluding numbers 1 and 70), we will be pleased to try and accommodate that.

A deposit of £40.00 (grille fixing), or £60.00 (with badge bar adaptor) will be due to the Healey Drivers’ Club (HDC) upon acceptance of your reservation, with the balance due prior to delivery. Please make payment to the Healey Drivers Club account 30-98-76 01147919 , using ‘Grille Badge’ as reference. We would prefer a bank transfer, but if you prefer to pay by cheque, please make it payable to the Healey Drivers’ Club, and send it Peter Healey, 33 the Tyning, Widcombe, Bath BA2 6AL, Somerset.

The expectation is that the badges will be available from May 2024 and therefore those attending the Clubs International Meeting in the New Forest in May will be the first to receive their set at that time and also of course, save on the postage cost .

As the badges are being offered on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, it is suggested that you do not delay if you wish to be sure of securing a set !
